Solidified Reflections –
Rooted Flows

The works shed light on various corners of the past, now seen from a contemporary angle. Themes
such as reflection, roof structures, stone masonry can be found; translations made in open, fluidly shaped metal, reassembled fragments. They stand for lightness, reflect light, embrace the new. In contrast with direct wax casting, including irregular facets, and a counterpart made in solid wood, building up new sculptures that refer to traditional joinery. These elements stand for warmth and earth, and they absorb light. The glass column can be seen as an intermediation between lightness and heaviness. It is specifically their interaction that intrigues me. Together, they can be related to the incorporation of space inside the object.
