ETAGE, a transformation of flat materials as brass, aluminium and ash and oak wood into a three-dimensional wall sculpture. “Both the rear surface and the shelves follow a particular curve which ensures the allure of a skeletal frame. The frame of an organic sculpture.”

Function of the ETAGE rack is determined by the abstract shape ratio of the shelves. That ratio will indicate whether there is room for large objects, smaller accessories or books. “I like the layering of a wall rack, the inner rhythm,” Linde Freya states. For ETAGE she immersed herself in the architecture of Danish architect Per Kirkeby, and the project “House V_H” of the Belgian agency Dhoore Vanweert. “Having no architectural background, give me a view on architecture that is free from regulations.”
