In this first collection for
Cassina, I mainly have been inspired by building structures, more specifically stone masonry, where
organically or more rectangular shaped stone blocks are used to build walls. Together they mainly emphasize the act of support, a play of stability. These small shapes need each other to become a whole – the different parts support each other, lean on each other’s weight. I wanted to achieve elemental ‘corner stones’, essential soft and strong elements in the home, referring to architectural elements.
