“Fluid Re-Collection”

An exhibition by Linde Freya Tangelder in collaboration with Cassina

Linde Freya Tangelder develops an overarching exhibition in collaboration with Cassina, within the unique setting of 10 Corso Como, during Milan Design Week 2026.

“Fluid Re-Collection” offers a versatile view on the designer’s world, merging craftsmanship and industry with a contemporary vision. Linde’s artistic approach is layered on different scales through several disciplines; from the exhibition’s scenography to the study models and unique or limited-edition pieces that sit alongside the serially produced furniture and lighting designed for Cassina.

Shaped by the same process-driven, sculptural attitude that defines her work, the different elements within the installation seamlessly interact with one another. By reimagining her existing collections in the “Reworked” and “Remould” series, while introducing new pieces including the Fluid Joinery Light for Cassina, a sense of fluidity emerges throughout.

At its core, the exhibition generates a dialogue between ancient and contemporary techniques, shifting smoothly between disciplines and emphasising the relation between art, architecture and fashion which all greatly influence Linde’s work. Fragments of these worlds are uncovered through the use of semi-transparent foils, recalling the material that she uses to cover work zones in her atelier to protect surfaces and areas while creating her designs. This reference to the gesture of craft and production unfolds within the installation in phases, recollecting Linde’s unique approach and opening up new perspectives.

The connection between Cassina and Linde Freya Tangelder lies in a shared ambition to create culturally relevant designs that embrace an innovative and industrial approach to crafts. The collaboration began in 2022, when the brand launched Patronage, a project aimed at cultivating international talent, nurturing creativity and supporting the culture of design. This relationship has evolved over the past years; Cassina acted as a cultural partner for the designer’s first solo show and, in parallel, engaged Linde in the development of furniture and a collection of blown-glass lamps, products that share the same unmistakable style that sets this Belgian-based designer’s work apart.
