Using unexpected, even industrial materials and traditional architectural elements, Tangelder brilliantly reinterprets these forms to imbue them with an organic softness redolent of human contact. Utilising the lost wax process, Tangelder achieves a delicate tension between the natural density of the material and the soft glowing depth of its surfaces. Her brutalist forms are delicately backlit, enveloping the cast metal in a gently luminous aura.
