Linde Freya Tangelder’s sculptural touch defines the new Fluid Joinery Light, a poetic object in which material and light are expressed as a single gesture. Mouth-blown glass becomes a lens imbued with material tension, modulating its glow to produce a visual harmony that gently envelops the entire space.
Poised between sculptural solidity and luminous transparency, this model emerges as a reinterpretation of the Fluid Joinery Side Table – I presented in 2025, preserving its formal essence while transforming it into a striking lighting piece. The proportions are scaled down and the volume becomes a source of light while the smooth, organic curved lines remain central to the design.
Like the side tables, Fluid Joinery Light is also a precious object, the result of complex, highly refined craftsmanship. The lamp is produced from a single volume of glass, mouth-blown into a cast iron mould and hand-finished. The technique is even more sophisticated in this case as the glass is cased and composed of three layers—transparent, opal white and tinted transparent. This achieves a finish capable of diffusing light in a unique way, creating a tactile and evocative aesthetic, intensified by the Fumé green and Bronze yellow tones.
As a result, an elegant visual rhythm resonates through the model, punctuated by engravings that, like subtle grooves, suggest the fusion of multiple elements into a single, continuous form.
