The essence of the Fluid Joinery – Side Table I design lies in its transparency, where interplays of reflections and colour are created through its organic and irregular shape. This monolithic low table is made from a single piece of glass that has been mouth-blown into a cast-iron mould and shaped by hand – an intricate artisan process performed in the Veneto region of Italy. Linde Freya has a passion for experimenting with glass, using processes that transform it from a liquid to a solid state. She is particularly fascinated by its ambiguity, due to the fact that it becomes even more architectural when it is heated, because its fluidity allows the production of a sculptural piece.
